About Merle Croock
I work with children to overcome learning and emotional challenges by building on their strengths through individualized emotional and remedial support. Grounded in research my goal is to help children discover their full capabilities.
Services
Assessments
I conduct individual, in person, assessments, to identify each learner’s strengths and weaknesses, guiding tailored support and intervention.
I utilise up-to-date tools including Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI-IV), Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children – Fifth Edition (WISC-V), Cognitive Assessment System – Second Edition (CAS-2), and Wechsler Individual Achievement Test – Fourth Edition (WIAT-IV).
Psychotherapeutic Intervention
Psychotherapy allows children, adolescents and adults to process and manage psychological issues such as trauma, anxiety, bullying, divorce, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Remedial Intervention
I apply explicit, structured, cumulative, multisensory, evidence-based remedial intervention strategies to support learners with various learning difficulties.
“Don’t see a child for who they are today—see who they are capable of becoming.”
“Your history does not need to define your future.”
“With the right guidance, every child can learn, adapt, and thrive.”
“Glimmers are tiny moments of goodness that help us remember that regulation, safety and connection is also possible.”
